The Great American Game Crawl – August 2006

New York pub crawls: Because your regular drinking dens are like following the spin-dry cycle

The Great American Game Crawl – August 2006

As we start to close out the summer, Gotham Pubcrawlers would like to tip their cap to the great game of baseball. In doing so, we ask that all crawlers participating this Saturday, don a cap or shirt proudly supporting their favorite baseball team. If you choose not to wear a baseball hat or jersey, no worries – you may still join the fun. You will however be branded a heretic and will miss out on the chance at a free drink.

As another way of supporting the thinking man’s sport, we will kick off the August Pub Crawl at the Chelsea Piers Batting Cages. This will start at 2pm, and we will down our first beers at the Chelsea Brewing Company. The full schedule is below, map to follow:

August Crawl Schedule

Be prepared for a bit of walking here… Chelsea is one of the larger hoods in manhattan and they are not known for their cheep bars, so this time around wear some comfortable shoes and make sure you get one for the road. You’ll also notice we’ve left the door open this month, there’s an optional trip over to the Trailer Park should we want to walk off the path, and make homage to Tonya Harding and PBR. Also we’re ending the crawl at theFrying Pan docked atpier over looking the Hudson river. If you haven’t been out here in the summer you’re missing out on an essential evening NY local. Cheers!
